4。25-4。5 STARS The style of this story is understated and unique。 It’s a butterfly inducing best friends brother romance。 The main characters Cassia and Holden had also been best friends as younger kids and for reasons unknown to Cassia， Holden ghosted her and cut her out of his life…。Until as high school senior’s things heat up between them and things get exciting。I love young/first romance so much and her excitement of finally feeling seen by the boy from across the street is so satisfying。I l 4。25-4。5 STARS The style of this story is understated and unique。 It’s a butterfly inducing best friends brother romance。 The main characters Cassia and Holden had also been best friends as younger kids and for reasons unknown to Cassia， Holden ghosted her and cut her out of his life…。Until as high school senior’s things heat up between them and things get exciting。I love young/first romance so much and her excitement of finally feeling seen by the boy from across the street is so satisfying。I love their stolen moments together and the emotions and chemistry are fantastic。It’s not a fast paced or overly dramatic story despite it being an emotional story。I enjoyed the moderate teen angst and the excitement of firsts。 The mildly forbidden aspect is great and I loved the exhilarating feeling of them sneaking around to be together。I liked all of the characters。 The writing style is interesting， I understood the characters and was rooting for them， though I didn’t deeply connect to them。 I still love the characters and story。 I enjoyed it very much。For a romance about high school seniors it’s low drama with the perfect amount of angst for me。There is a shocking twist towards the end that’s very emotional and changes the characters lives。 It really surprised me， it was very emotional。I love the story and the characters journey。 I appreciate this author’s writing style， it’s something unique and I enjoy the quiet emotional experience her books give me。 。。。more
